The Drive current algorithm: i = Vref * 1.9 / 2.5, the default Vref is about 0.65v, so the default current is 0.5A, the maximum current is 1A!
Vref measures the voltage of Gnd and the middle end of the potentiometer.
Do not connect the motor when measuring voltage, otherwise it will easily burn the drive.
When the voltage is measured, the power should be turned on. Do not connect only to the USB power supply.
When using on Ramps1.4 or MKS Gen, please remove the 3 jumper caps under the socket.
Pay attention to the direction.
The heat sink is directly attached to the PCB
The direction of the motor is exactly the opposite of 4988 and 8825. If you want to replace the 4988 directly, please adjust the firmware or adjust the motor connection.
! The working temperature is about 70 degrees at 0.5A, and the working temperature of 1A exceeds 150 degrees. It is recommended to do a good job of heat dissipation, and the working current is preferably about 0.5A.
